titleOfInvention | Process for preparing aminonitrile and diamine |
abstract | The invention concerns a method for preparing aminonitrile and diamine by catalytic hydrogenating dinitrile. It consists of a method for preparing aminonitrile and diamine by catalytic hydrogenating aliphatic dinitrile having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, characterised in that the final reaction mixture, from which the catalyst has been previously separated, is acidified by adding a sufficient amount of a mineral or organic acid before it is subjected to an operation distilling the reaction products and the non-transformed dinitrile. The invention more particularly concerns the preparation of amino-6-capronitrile and hexamethylenediamine by hydrogenating adiponitrile. The amino-6-capronitrile can be hydrolysed in liquid phase or gaseous phase to lead to caprolactame. The hexamethylenediamine can be used in particular for preparing polyamide-66 by reaction with adipic acid. |
