titleOfInvention Functional food
abstract An additive (I) for a non-ruminant animal feed comprises \- 3 microorganisms selected from: (a) Pediococcus pentosaceus, (b) P. acidilactici, (c) Picia farinosa, (d) Dekkera bruxellensis, (e) Bacilli, (f) Streptococci, and (g) Staphylococci. (I) preferably also contain enzymes, organic acids and bacteriocins. The feed additionally contains \- 1 hydrolytic enzyme selected from (h) proteolytic enzymes (including those with trypsin-like and peptidase-like activities); (i) carbohydrate-splitting enzymes (including those with amylase-like and cellulase-like activities); lipolytic enzymes (including those with triacylglycerolase-like activities), peroxidase enzymes (including those with catalase-like activity) and transferase enzymes (including those with acyltransferase-like activities). (I) also includes \- 1 (preferably all) of lactic, acetic and succinic acids or their equivalents. It also includes \- 2 of the bactericins Pediocin A, Nisin, Pediocin AcH and P. acidilactice PAC 1.0.
