abstract Cationically dispersed Al(OH), suspensions with a high solids content, contg. 0.1-3.0 wt.% of a dispersant consisting of poly-aluminium hydroxide-chloride (PAC) and/or mixts. of PAC with cationic polymers and/or co-condensation prods. of PAC and cationic dicyandiamide resin. Pref. the PAC is prepd. in situ by adding AlCl3 and/or HCl to the Al hydroxide suspension. Pref. PAC has an Al2O3 content of 5-25 wt.%. Suitable cationic polymers (CP) are polyethyleneimine, polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride and dicyandiamide (DCD) resins, with a wt. ratio of (PAC):(CP = (30:70)-(95:5). Co-condensates of PAC and cationic DCD resin have a mole ratio of (DCD):(Al) - (1:15)-(1:2).
