titleOfInvention TWO-PHASE CEMENT MIXTURE, SPECIAL FOR ORTHOPEDIA
abstract The invention relates to a two phase cement mixture which is particularly suitable for orthopaedic use, in which the solid phase comprises a polymer, polymetyl methacrylate, and a catalyst, benzoyl peroxide, while the liquid phase comprises a monomer, monomethyl methacrylate, an accelerator, N-N-dimethyl-p-toluidine and hydroquinone. The said polymetyl methacrylate is in powder form with particles of a spherical shape which are of a suitable particle size. Fluoride in form of salt can be added to the said solid phase, realizing fluoride ions, making them available to the part of the bone with which the said mixture is in contact when is used to attach a prothesis to a bone.
