titleOfInvention METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MICROSPHERE
abstract Preparation of microspheres from a solution contg. a precursor on one side of a semipermeable membrane and a salt solution on the reverse side is new. The method is particularly claimed for carbohydrates, and partic starch or dextran. The particles may contain a magnetic metal oxide in order to function as a contrast medium in magnetic resonance tomography. The microspheres have a very narrow size distribution. The semipermeable membrane has a molecular separation capability of 10-14000 kD. The use of the microspheres as contrast medium, for slow release medium for medicaments, and for affinity preparations is also claimed. (Provisional Basic previously advised in week 9023) @(10pp Dwg.No.0/0).
