titleOfInvention | DEVICE FOR THE PROTECTION OF ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS |
abstract | An electrical coupling plinth (1) has connected to it two leads (2a,2b) in a flexible cable, and two leads (3a,3b) in a second flexible cable. Before the leads are connected to the plinth, a tube (4) with two covers (5,6) is threaded over it. The tube is open at both ends, has a circular cross-section, and comprises a rigid, transparent plastic material with a density lower than that of water. Its two covers are identical, each including a cylindrical part (5a) formed in one piece with a circular end wall (5b). The covers are of elastic material, e.g. rubber, and the inner dia. of the cylindrical part is less than the outer dia. of the tube (4), whilst its length corresponds approximately to its dia. A circular hole (5c) is formed centrally in the end wall of each cover, and its dia. is slightly less than that of the inserted cable (3). The two covers are fitted on to the tube and rotated until their end walls come into contact with the peripheral edge of the tube. |
