TROUBLE SHOOTING MASSES FOR PIPE |
abstract |
Inexpensive propellent-charge compositions for barrel-type weapons and pyrotechnical firing devices are obtained by using granulated ammonium nitrate. The granulated ammonium nitrate lies in a defined foam matrix together with a relatively small proportion of secondary explosive. The secondary explosive is present in the form of nitramine granules of identical particle size of 0.1 to 0.8 mm. These granules can be thinly coated with a plastic, such as ethylcellulose, so that partial deflagration is reliably prevented in the event of the possible formation of a cluster (9). n<IMAGE> |
