abstract An alloy consisting essentially of, by weight, 0.1-0.6% C, up to 2.0% Si, 5.0-15.0% Mn, 5.0-15.0% Cr, 5.0-13.0% Ni, less than 1.0% V, and one or both of up to 1.0% Mo and up to 2.0% Nb, balance being substantially Fe and inevitable impurities. The alloy has outstanding nonmagnetic property, high hardness and good weldability, and particularly useful for electro-magnetic stirrer rolls in continuous casting machine.
