titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF 9,11-HALOGENERATED STEROIDS
abstract 9.alpha.-Chloro-11.beta.-fluoro-steroids are prepared according to a novel process by reacting a corresponding 9.alpha.-chloro-11.beta.-hydroxy-steroid with an aminosulphur trifluoride of the formula F3SX, in which X is an amino group derived from a secondary amine, especially diethylamine or piperidine. Any hydroxyl groups and carboxyl groups which may be present are preferably temporarily protected during the reaction.
