titleOfInvention NEW BENZHYDRYLOXY-ALKYLAMINE INTERVENTIONS AND WAYS TO PRODUCE THE SAME.
abstract The compounds of the general formula (I) in which X = halogen atom, methyl or methoxy groups; n = 2, 3 or 4; A = together with a nitrogen atom a partially or completely saturated heterocycle which is optionally substituted by 1 to 2 methoxy groups and has 6 to 10 members and which can also, where appropriate, consist of a plurality of rings, and the acid addition salts formed with pharmaceutically compatible acids, are obtained by reacting compounds of the formula (II) in the presence of a base with benzhydrol derivatives or benzhydryl derivatives, and if required, converting the resulting compounds of the formula (I), preferably without previous isolation, into their pharmaceutically compatible acid addition salts. In the formula (II), Y = halogen atom or hydroxyl group and m = 2, 3 or 4. <IMAGE> The compounds of the general formula (I) and their acid addition salts have a delayed antihistamine effect.
