titleOfInvention Particle filter for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine
abstract The present invention relates to a particle alter. The particle filter comprises a first filter component (4) comprising at least one first channel (5), having a inlet port (Sa) where exhaust gases are led into the first filter component (4) and a single outlet port (5b) where exhaust gases are led out of the first filter (4) , and at least one second duct (6) having an outlet opening (6b) where exhaust gases are led out of the main filter component (4). A wall element (7), which separates the first duct (5) and the second duct (6), comprises passages which are dimensioned so that exhaust gases pass through but not particles. The particulate filter also comprises a second filter component (8) arranged in a position so as to extend across the outlet opening (5b) of the first channel and the outlet opening (6b) of the second channel. The second filter component (8) is dimensioned so that it lets exhaust gases but not particles that are led out of the outlet openings of the first filter component (Sb, 6b). (Fig. 2)
