titleOfInvention Pyrotechnic device
abstract The pyrotechnic charge comprises an exothermic charge (6) activated first in order to direct a flame or jet of hot particles against the object being destroyed, as well as an oxygen generating charge (7) which is activated later in order to direct a jet of oxygen towards the object. A pyrotechnic device suitable for clearing landmines and unexploded ammunition comprises a casing (2) with an outlet (3) for hot gases and particles, a pyrotechnic charge (4) located inside the casing and a detonator (5) for activating this charge. The pyrotechnic charge comprises an exothermic charge for generating heat and at least one oxygen generating charge. The exothermic charge is activated first, creating a flame or jet of hot particles at the casing outlet which is directed towards the object to be destroyed. The oxygen generating charge is then activated in order to direct a jet of oxygen towards this object.
