| abstract |
The top and bottom of the combustion region (12) are defined by rows of parallel tubes (19, 23), the lower row (19) forming a grate above an ash region (14), and the upper row (23) forming the bottom side of a combustion gas collection chamber. A fan region (17) in the boiler contains at least one fan (18) for blowing air through the tubes. The air flow is divided into a prim. flow controlled by a first valve (29) and directed from the ash region to the combustion region via the grate, a sec. flow controlled by a second valve and directed to a nozzle (37) in the upper part of the combustion region, and a tert. flow through the tubes themselves. |
