titleOfInvention Purification of process water in flocculator with inclined tubes
abstract Purifying effluent, by supplying effluent from the sedimentation system and a flocking agent to the flocking station and the resulting mixture is pumped into a first sloping collection pipe (3) and transported vertically into a second sloping collection pipe (4), is new. Flocking continued until the desired level of purity is recorded by a turbidity sensor (14) located upstream from a purified water outlet (13). Purifying effluent in order to remove contaminants and/or residual products, where the effluent comprises a shot peening process effluent, a cutting or coolant fluid, stearate-containing water from the yarn drawing industry, an emulsion or an oil/water mixture, uses a tubular flocking station (2) connected to a standard sedimentation system (1), is new. A combination of a flocking agent or precipitating agent and heat are used to carry out flocking. A pre-selected turbidity level is continuously monitored in the clear water leaving the flocking station. Effluent from the sedimentation system is used to fill up the flocking station, whilst at the same time this effluent is dosed with flocking agent. The resulting mixture is pumped into a first sloping collection pipe and transported upwards via at least one substantially vertical connecting pipe (6) into a second sloping collection pipe. Flocking is allowed to continue for a given length of time until the desired level of purity is recorded by a turbidity sensor located upstream from a purified water outlet. Fresh effluent is then pumped into the system at the same time as purified water is forced out. An Independent claim is also included for the process apparatus.
