titleOfInvention | Method for contactless continuous temperature measurement of the solidification process of metal alloys |
abstract | The method is for the contact-free, continuous temp. measurement of the hardening process of metal alloys, and involves the smelt, which is to be analysed, made to rotate around a vertical axis in a cylindrical and concentrically placed test body (2), with measurement of the temp. being effected with the aid of an optical temp. meter (6). With rotation, a parabola-shaped inner surface is formed, and the temp. measurement is effected on a part of the parabola upper limiting surface (5). The test body has a circular form, pref. made of core sand or other suitable material with an inner concentrically placed cylinder, whose height coincides with the desired height of the smelt in the test body outer part. Measurement of temp. occurs simultaneously on two different height levels in the parabola which is so formed with the aid of speed that the levels correspond to different hardening times. |
