abstract |
The invention relates to a method (40) of controlling a speed (n) of a power source (3) arranged to propel a vehicle (1). The vehicle comprises a clutch (4) controllable to slip during a slipping period (t) as the vehicle is started so as to adjust an amount of torque transferred from the power source towards one or more driving wheels (8) of the vehicle. The method comprises the step (42) of, during the slipping period: automatically controlling the power source such that its speed (n) is: first increased so as to maintain the speed (n) of the power source above a value corresponding to twice a speed (n) of an input shaft of a gearbox (5) of the vehicle, and then decreased towards a predetermined power source starting speed. Thereby, clutch judder is reduced. |
