titleOfInvention Molecular transition platform and method for manufacturing such a platform
abstract A molecular junction platform, a gas sensor comprising such a platform and a method of fabrication are disclosed. The platform comprises two nanoelectrodes separated by a nanogap, at least one nanoparticle situated between the nanoelectrodes and at least two molecules connecting the nanoparticle to the nano- electrodes. The method of fabrication comprises preparation of at least one nanoparticle functionalised with a first set of molecules, trapping of the at least one functionalised nanoparticle in a nanogap between two nanoelectrodes on a substrate, and at least one place exchange reaction replacing the first set of molecules by a second set of molecules, so that the second set of molecules creates a network connecting the nanoelectrodes and the at least one nanoparticle.
