titleOfInvention Method, apparatus and treatment means for cleaning and disinfecting microbially colonized water systems for, in particular, dental equipment
abstract A method for cleaning and disinfection of microbially colonized water systems comprising for example medical, dental or laboratory equipment, which via conduits (34) and at least one valve (36) is connected to the water system (14) and to a container (12) for a treatment medium, which can be set under pressure in said container, for flushing the conduits and the equipment. In a first valve position - emptying position - the water to the container is shut off and a connection to an outlet (30) from the container is opened at the same time, so that the container and the equipment and the conduits thereto are emptied. In a second valve position - filling position - all connections to the container are shut off and a treatment medium is introduced into the opened container. In a third valve position - treatment position - a connection between the water supply net and the equipment is established in the closed container, at which the water is brought to push the treatment medium from the container to the equipment, where a small amount of treatment medium is tapped off for controlling that the water passages are filled with treatment medium. This is allowed to act during a certain time period. The invention also refers to a liquid combination for cleaning by removing the biofilm and a subsequent disinfection.
