abstract The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of methyl methacrylate through a direct oxidative esterification reaction from methacrolein and to the preparation of methacrolein. One of the features of this new process is that it is possible to significantly increase the production rate and process efficiency compared to the previous technology by sequencing different distillation steps.
