titleOfInvention | Method for simultaneously production of chloroform and salt of formic acid |
abstract | The invention relates to chemical technology and is intended to produce chloroform, used as raw material in the production of fluorochlorocarbons (HFC 22, HFC 21), and to obtain sodium formate, used as a preservative for roughage (silage, wet hay) in agriculture. The method consists in processing technical chloral with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide in the presence of active chlorine. As the latter, take an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide, treated with chlorine at 20 - 40 ° C, or an aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite. An excess of active chlorine of 9-15% from stoichiometry to dichloroacetaldehyde present in organic raw materials is necessary for the conversion of dichloroacetaldehyde along with chloral to the target products. By settling, the lower layer, chloroform, is separated. Sodium formate sodium is isolated from the upper, aqueous layer by evaporation and drying at 100-160 ° C. |
