abstract The invention relates to methods for producing fatliquoring agents for the leather and fur industries. In order to stabilize the sulfonation process, a method is proposed for preparing a composition for fatliquoring of fur and skin, including oxidative sulfonation of natural fats and their mixtures with sodium bisulfite in the presence of a surfactant and a solution of cobalt nitric acid and introducing 10-40% by weight of glycols into the reaction mass before sulfonation natural fats.
