titleOfInvention | Method for production of amorphous red phosphorous |
abstract | A method of producing amorphous red phosphorus, characterized in that the polymerization of white phosphorus is carried out in a dispersion medium in the presence of high molecular weight oxygen-containing emulsifiers when treated with ionizing radiation to an absorbed dose of 0.5 - 1.5 MGy, followed by separation by selective extraction of unreacted white phosphorus and drying the product , characterized in that for the polymerization using a mixture of white phosphorus with additives selected from the group: graphite, TiO, (Al (OH), Mg (OH), taken in an amount of 0.5 to 5 wt.%, and as a dispersion medium, a mixture of water with organic solvents selected from the group: benzene, CCl, CHCl, decane taken in the ratio of 1: 1 - 2 water is used. The samples of amorphous red phosphorus obtained under the stated conditions have different physicochemical properties, which are determined by the initial conditions of the process and the synthesis technology, and it was found that the average particle size of red phosphorus is in the range of 2-15 microns. |
