titleOfInvention Method for reduction of organic sulfur and inorganic salts of mineral fuels
abstract The invention relates to a combined method for removing sulfur and salts from fossil fuels, comprising the steps of bringing fossil fuels into contact with a sufficient amount of an aqueous solution capable of extracting a substance from fossil fuels in the form of soluble salt impurities, and an effective amount of a catalyst capable of extracting a substance from fossil fuels in the form of sulfur-containing organic molecules; incubation of the above mixture, as a result of which solid fuel is significantly freed of impurities in the form of water-soluble salts and the catalytic agent selectively catalyzes sulfur-carbon bonds in sulfur-containing organic molecules, forming a significant amount of water-soluble inorganic sulfur molecules; both reactions are carried out without depletion of fossil fuels by flammable organic molecules; separating the aqueous component from the component containing fossil fuels, resulting in fossil fuels being significantly depleted in sulfur and salt impurities, and the aqueous component as a result is significantly enriched with inorganic salts and inorganic sulfur molecules.
