titleOfInvention Process for preparing sorbent
abstract Usage: sorbent for cleaning solutions and drinking water from ions of heavy and radioactive metals. The essence of the method: hardwood is treated with a solution of the composition: phosphoric acid 0.5-2.0 mol / l, urea 2-66 mol / l, at a temperature of 60-90C for 1-3 hours at a ratio of t: w = 1: (5-20). Then the material is squeezed out, dried and subjected to heat treatment at 140-170С for 1 to 3 hours. After washing and drying, it receives a sorbent with an exchange capacity of 3.1-4.6 mEq / g and distribution coefficients of micro amounts of plutonium, uranium and americium 5 • 10-6 • 10cm / g. The resulting sorbent has a high capacity and selectivity for ions of transuranic elements.
