titleOfInvention Method for treating diskal lumbosacral and other types of intervertebral hernias
abstract The technical and therapeutic result obtained by using the proposed method - the treatment of lumbosacral and other hernias of the intervertebral discs - consists in the complete pain relief after a single pararadicular injection of a mixture of drugs into the dominant pain center. These results are achieved due to the fact that in addition to a 2% solution of novocaine, a solution of vitamin B and an aqueous suspension of hydrocortisone, the mixture of drugs contains an additional 2% solution of papaverine hydrochloride and physiological solution with a ratio of components 5: 1: 0.2: 1 : 1 respectively injected pararadicularly 2 - 3 ml. mixtures without damaging the inflamed sensitive root of the spinal cord. The latter immediately stops the pathological impulse, which the patient perceives as insatiable pain. The main clinical manifestation of discogenic lumbosacral and other hernias of the intervertebral discs is insatiable radicular pain, as a rule, unilateral at all levels of the spinal segments - cervical-occipital, thoracic, lumbosacral, with pain dominant of one of them. Homolateral sensitive cranial nerves, thyroid lobe, uterine appendage are also involved in the infectious-toxic process.
