titleOfInvention Method of surgical treatment of traumatic cataract
abstract The essence of the invention lies in the fact that in the surgical treatment of traumatic cataract in the eyes with severe preoperative intraocular hypotension to maintain optimal ophthalmotonus for IOL implantation after removal of the damaged lens and vitrectomy, the vitreous cavity is filled with liquid PFOS. IOL is implanted through a cataract incision, liquid PFOS is removed from the vitreous cavity with simultaneous replacement with physiological saline until the normotonia of the operated eye is reached. The objective of the invention is the development of a method of surgical treatment of traumatic cataract with the possibility of implanting IOL in the eyes with severe preoperative intraocular hypotension. Effect: the ability to maintain optimal ophthalmotonus for IOL implantation after removal of the damaged lens in the eyes with severe preoperative intraocular hypotension by intraoperative injection of liquid PFOS into the vitreous cavity.
