titleOfInvention Method of producing protein fodder additive from wool industry waste
abstract The invention relates to feed production, in particular, to a method for producing a protein feed additive from waste from the wool industry and can be used to dispose of indirect keratin-containing waste from factories of primary processing of wool and wool processing enterprises into a feed additive suitable for feeding to farm animals and poultry. The purpose of the invention is the rational use of keratin-containing raw materials, obtaining digestible feed for animals and birds and accelerating the hydrolysis process. This goal is achieved by the fact that as the keratin-containing raw materials are used indirect waste from the wool industry, which is disposed of in landfills, polluting the environment. In an organoleptic assessment, lunges are a mixture of sand, earth, plant impurities, plant seeds, scraps of wool fiber from 0 to 15 mm long and other other impurities. The protein content in raw materials averages from 6.5 to 46%. Preliminary processing of the raw material with hydrogen peroxide promotes the oxidation of keratin in the wool, which accelerates the course of alkaline hydrolysis, that is, it allows to increase its depth, reduce the hydrolysis time, and minimize energy consumption. Carrying out alkaline hydrolysis, neutralization of the hydrolyzate with phosphoric acid in the aggregate of all conditions of the proposed method allows to obtain highly digestible feed for farm animals and poultry.
