titleOfInvention Aluminizing electrolyte
abstract The invention relates to electroplating, in particular to the electrochemical deposition of aluminum on steel, copper, brass samples for protection against corrosion and the formation of electrically conductive films. The purpose of the invention is the creation of an electrolyte with an extended service life and an increase in the deposition rate of aluminum. This goal is achieved by aluminizing electrolyte containing aluminum bromide, durene and an xylene organic solvent in the following ratio of components, wt.%: Aluminum bromide 30-60, 1,2,4,5-tetramethylbenzene (durene) 15-30, xylene the rest . The simplicity of the electrolyte preparation, the availability of starting materials (durene is a waste product of gasoline), its use at room temperature and in the absence of an inert atmosphere make it possible to use aluminum electrolyte with a long service life in mechanical engineering, instrument making, electronics, radio engineering, optics, and other branches of technology.
