titleOfInvention Method for extraction of vanillin
abstract The invention relates to the field of fine organic synthesis, specifically to a technology for producing vanillin (B, 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde). Vanillin is used in the confectionery, pharmaceutical and perfumery and cosmetic industries. In accordance with the claimed method, vanillin is isolated from the reaction mass by extraction with polar extractants. A distinctive feature of the proposed method is the range of pH values in which the extraction is carried out (pH 6 - 8). The technical result provided by the claimed invention consists in increasing the degree of extraction of vanillin from 44 to 64 - 94% and increasing the selectivity of extraction from 20 to 30 - 44%. The results obtained make it possible to reduce the extract volumes by an order of magnitude and simplify the procedure for further purification of vanillin.
