New steroid sulfatase inhibitors are proposed, as well as pharmaceutical compositions containing them, used to treat estrone-dependent tumors, in particular breast cancer. The new steroid sulfatase inhibitors are sulfamate esters of the formula described in which R and R each represent H, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, or together represent an alkylene group optionally containing a heteroatom, for example —O— or —NH— , and —O-polycyclic is a polycyclic alcohol residue, preferably stubble, optimally 3-sterol. Preferred compounds are 3-sulfamate and N, N-dimethyl-estrone-3-sulfamate. |
