titleOfInvention | DEVICE FOR FLORATING WASTE NUCLEAR FUEL |
abstract | The device allows for more complete fluorination of spent nuclear fuel oxide powders to produce uranium and plutonium hexafluorides while improving the environmental safety of the fluorination process. For this, the spent nuclear fuel fluorination device contains a curved reaction pipe consisting of vertical and horizontal parts, the vertical part of the pipe provided with cooling devices, connected to the node of mechanical dispersion of the powder and mixing it with a carrier gas, sn a nozzle for dust and gas mixture located along the axis and fluorine feed nozzles, and through an auger feeder with a powder hopper equipped with a vibrator, inside the vertical part of the pipe, an assembly of annular scrapers adjacent to the wall is connected, connected to the rod and equipped with an axial displacement drive, horizontal part the reaction tube, with a ribbon auger placed inside it, is equipped with a heater and also a pipe for exhausting gases and discharging PD solid fluoride powder into a waste collection bin equipped with a jacket cool the, intake-pipe vacuum waste removal and filter for cleaning of process gases removed from plutonium and uranium hexafluoride. |
