titleOfInvention DEVICE FOR NON-CONTACT MEASUREMENT OF VISCOSITY OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE METAL MELTS
abstract The proposed utility model relates to technical physics, namely, to devices for determining, controlling and measuring the physical parameters of substances and is intended for non-contact measurement of the viscosity of high-temperature metal melts by an unsteady method based on the damping of torsional vibrations of a cylindrical crucible with a melt. An additional area of application is metallurgical processes.n n n The technical task of the utility model is to simplify the device for non-contact viscosity measurement of high-temperature metal melts.n n n To solve this problem, a device is proposed for non-contact measurement of the viscosity of high-temperature metal melts, containing a viscometer module in an evacuated and water-cooled cylindrical chamber, along the axis of which in the heating zone of a molybdenum cylindrical bifilar electric heater, there is a suspension system with a cylindrical crucible, a block of rotation of the suspension system at a given angle for torsional vibration triggering, mirror, light source, photodetector, computer, distinguishing The fact that the output bus of the photodetector is connected in parallel to one of the elements of the control devices that are connected to the computer in a standard way, for example, a button microswitch of a computer mouse or keyboard. In addition, at least two microcircuits with an integrated photodiode located at a fixed distance from each other and two opto-relays are used as the photodetector, the outputs of microcircuits with an integrated photodiode connected to the inputs of the opto-relay, and the outputs of the opto-relay are outputs of the photodetector. In addition, as a photodetector, one microcircuit with an integrated photodiode and one optorelayer is used, the input of which is connected to the output of the microcircuit, and its output is the output of the photodetector, in front of the photodetector there is an opaque slit mask containing at least two parallel narrow slots, and a focusing system, for example, a common semi-cylindrical focusing lens placed at the focal length from the photodetector, with an opaque slit mask placed between the photo receiving device and focusing system.n n n Using the device allows you to simplify and reduce the cost of measuring the viscosity of high-temperature metal melts, while improving performance, in particular, using a personal computer as standard, increasing the reliability of the results and ensuring the operation of the device by non-highly qualified personnel. 3 pp., 2 ill.
