The technical result is an increase in the resistance of the cutting tool. A cutting tool with a multilayer coating is proposed, containing a tool base made of high speed steel or hard alloy and a three-layer wear-resistant ion-plasma coating deposited on it, characterized in that the coating consists of an upper and lower layer of titanium and iron carbonitride and an intermediate layer of titanium nitride.
