A cutting tool with a multilayer coating is proposed, containing a tool base and a three-layer wear-resistant ion-plasma coating deposited on it, characterized in that it consists of an outer layer of titanium-zirconium nitride, an intermediate layer of niobium nitride and a lower layer of a compound of titanium, niobium and iron.
