titleOfInvention | DEVICE FOR FIXING A SCLERAL RAG WITH NON-PENETRATING DEEP SCLERECTOMY |
abstract | The utility model relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and is intended for antiglaucomatous operations. The device for fixing the scleral flap includes two parallel guides curved along the curvature of the cornea of the eye and connected by a jumper. Moreover, each guide is a lever bent along the curvature of the cornea of the eye in the working part; the parallel shoulders of the levers are connected: a jumper in the working part and a counterweight in the opposite part. Each lever is made of stainless steel wire by continuously turning it clockwise so that the support points of the levers are wire rings. The counterweight is made of stainless steel or another anti-corrosion alloy, weighing about 5 g, for example, in the form of a ball. The scleral flap is fixed by suturing it to the jumper and holding it in the desired position due to the counterweight. The surgical field remains fully open. The operation using the device, respectively, is less traumatic due to the reduction of its duration, including due to the need to impose a single seam. Surgeon manipulations are comfortable and free. The assistant is active during the operation, as it is released for other manipulations. |
