abstract | The utility model relates to the field of coating, in particular to coating by evaporation and condensation in a vacuum, and is intended to obtain wear-resistant coatings on a cutting tool in tool production. The technical result is an increase in the resistance of the cutting tool. A cutting tool with a multilayer coating is proposed, comprising a tool base made of high speed steel and a three-layer wear-resistant ion-plasma coating deposited on it, characterized in that the coating consists of a lower layer of titanium and iron, an intermediate layer of titanium nitride and iron, and an upper layer of titanium nitride modified exposure to laser radiation. The use of a coating modified by laser processing, increases the efficiency of the cutting tool. |
