abstract | FIELD: fish farming. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fish farming and can be used to assess the degree of preparedness of female sturgeon fish for spawning. The method includes an assessment of the degree of maturity of the gonads of female sturgeon fish according to the salt content in the urine. A single urine sample is taken from female sturgeon fish in the pre-spawning period with a volume of 0.5-1.0 ml.
