abstract | FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer compositions suitable for making articles by foaming. Disclosed is a polymer composition for foaming, containing the following components (wt. %): A. powdered or granular propylene homopolymer, or random copolymer of propylene with ethylene and/or higher α-olefins, or block copolymer of propylene with ethylene and/or higher α-olefins, or combinations thereof (48.5–99.4765); B. coagent (COAG) or a mixture of COAG, which are vinyl monomers (0.5–3); C. peroxide initiator (0.001–1.0); D. hindered cycloaliphatic amine stabilizer (HALS) (0.0025–1.5); E. antioxidant and/or heat stabilizer (0.02–1.0); F. polyolefin elastomer (0–25); G. other additives (0–20).
