titleOfInvention Method for manufacturing and increasing efficiency of medical generator of strontium-82 / rubidium-82
abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to products for nuclear medicine, particularly to making isotope generators. Strontium-82/rubidium-82 generator includes a generator column with a sorbent based on hydrated tin oxide (IV), on which radioactive82Sr isotope is deposited.82Sr decomposes into short-lived82Rb (half-life 76 s). In this generator, the maximum volume of the obtained eluate with82Rb with content of82Sr and85Sr below permissible level (0.01 and 0.1 kBq per 1 MBq of 82 Rb, respectively) depends on the concentration of ions of stable isotopes of calcium (CCa) and strontium (CSr) on sorbent, supplied during preparation and use of generator. Obtaining more than 17 l of eluate with allowable content of82Sr and85Sr is achieved when this ratio is below 0.67 mcmol per 1 g of dry sorbent. Limits for the amount of calcium and strontium to the sorbent when making the generator are proportional to the weight of the sorbent in the column. Thus, at a sufficiently low concentration of calcium and strontium ions and with a sorbent weight in the column of more than 3.8 g, a larger volume of radiopharmaceutical -82Rb chloride solution with the required characteristics - can be obtained using the generator.EFFECT: invention makes it possible to more reliably prevent ingress of radioactive strontium isotopes into the patient.6 cl, 5 dwg, 2 tbl
