titleOfInvention Method for surgical treatment of keratoconus
abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. An intrastromal corneal pocket is formed using a femtolaser and a donor graft is placed therein, including a Bowman membrane, treated with ultraviolet light and impregnated with a riboflavin solution. The graft is therein impregnated with a riboflavin solution prior to being placed in the corneal pocket and after being placed in the corneal pocket simultaneously with ultraviolet light treatment and jointly with the cornea of the recipient. In a particular case, the donor graft and the cornea of the recipient are impregnated with a riboflavin solution for 15 minutes, and ultraviolet light treatment is conducted for 30 minutes. In a particular case, a donor graft including a Bowman membrane and stroma is produced by femtosecond excession of a donor corneal scleral flap of a certain thickness.EFFECT: method allows for an increase in the thickness and the strength of the characteristics of the cornea, as well as an increase in the effectiveness of treatment of keratoconus, a reduction in the trauma rate of surgery, rehabilitation time, the risk of complications during surgery and the postoperative period.3 cl, 1 ex
