titleOfInvention | Transdermal therapeutic system containing azenapine and polysiloxane or polyisobutylene |
abstract | FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to options of a transdermal therapeutic system for transdermal delivery of azenapine and a method for obtaining a layer containing azenapine for use in the transdermal therapeutic system. The transdermal therapeutic system contains a self-adhesive layered structure containing the therapeutically effective amount of azenapine. The self-adhesive layered structure contains: A) substrate; B) a layer containing azenapine, containing: 1. azenapine in the form of a free base; and 2. polymer selected from a group consisting of polysiloxanes in the amount of more than 50% by weight per the total weight of the layer containing azenapine; and C) optionally, an additional layer contacting with the skin. The layer containing azenapine contains a crystallization inhibitor in the amount from 0.5 to 10% by weight per the total weight of the layer containing azenapineEFFECT: obtaining a transdermal therapeutic system of a matrix type for transdermal azenapine injection, providing a penetration speed that is sufficient for achieving a therapeutically effective dose.15 cl, 13 ex, 13 tbl, 13 dwg |
