titleOfInvention | Method for experimental modeling of bacterial keratitis |
abstract | FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to experimental ophthalmology. Local anesthesia is performed, followed by biomicroscopic control of micromanipulations using an operating microscope or a slit lamp. At the same time, a commensurate surface defect of the cornea is formed in the cornea of the experimental animal using a diamond spherical cone with a diameter of 2.0 mm, capturing only the epithelium and the Bowman's membrane. After that, the working tip of a disposable microsurgical cannula-incisor is inserted intrastromally into the corneal stroma bared in this way along the edge of the formed defect along the bend of the sharpening cut of this working tip so that, when put on an insulin syringe containing 0.2 ml of a culture of a bacterial suspension of the Staphylococcus aureus strain at a dose of 0.5 McFarland units (1×108 Mt/ml). In this case, a disposable microsurgical cannula-incisor was pressed by the outlet of its internal cavity to the corneal stroma and fixed in this position with a rotated working tip. After that, intrastromal injection of a bacterial suspension of the Staphylococcus aureus strain is performed until a local whitish color of corneal infiltration from the injected bacterial suspension appears.EFFECT: method allows carrying out experimental modeling of the pathological process in the cornea, as close as possible to the pathogenesis of bacterial keratitis, to study the effectiveness of new methods of treating this pathology.1 cl, 4 dwg, 1 ex |
