titleOfInvention Method for determining the corneal tactile sensitivity
abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, neurology, as well as maxillofacial and plastic surgery, and is intended for determining the tactile sensitivity of the cornea (esthesiometry) in neurotrophic lesions thereof. For this purpose, the fibre is touched to the cornea. A segment of a surgical sterile suture material, 6-0 monofilament, with a free edge length of 70 mm, is therein used as a fibre and touched to the surface of the cornea of the patient until bending, consecutively in 5 areas: centre, upper, lower, medial, lateral area, and a sensitive feeling or absence thereof is recorded. The free edge length of 6-0 monofilament is then consecutively reduced at a pitch of 5 mm, starting with a length of 70 mm and until the first sensitive feeling, and at a pitch of 1 mm in the five millimeter range starting from the previous length relative to the length when the first sensitive feeling occurred, or from the length of 5 mm until the length of the 6-0 monofilament of 1 mm. The corneal sensitivity is considered non-disordered if the first sensitive feelings on the monofilament touching the cornea occur at the fibre length in the range of 45 to 70 mm.EFFECT: method allows for identification of the presence of qualitative and quantitative changes in the sensitivity of the cornea as a whole and in individual areas thereof in order to assign adequate pathogenetically substantiated treatment of neurotrophic corneal pathology.2 cl, 6 dwg, 2 tbl, 3 ex
