abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to therapy, healthcare organisation, and can be used in determining the strategy for managing patients with confirmed novel coronavirus infection COVID-19. For this purpose, clinical and demographic data, associated pathological conditions and diseases are detected in patients. The obtained criteria are then evaluated by assigning a certain amount of points to each identified significant criterion. Estimated as 1 point therein are: the age of the patient from 45 up to and including 59 years, excess body weight of the patient with a body mass index from 25 to 29.9; a history of coronary heart disease of any clinical form in the patient. Estimated as 2 points are: the fact of tobacco smoking by the patient without determining the smoking index; the presence of diabetes mellitus of any type, arterial hypertension of any degree and stage, bronchial asthma of any severity, chronic kidney disease at any stage. Estimated as 3 points are: the age of the patient over 60 years, the presence of obesity with a body mass index of 30 and more. The obtained points are summarised. If the total score is 0 up to and including 3, the patient is treated on an outpatient basis.
