abstract FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatrics, nephrology, and can be used to select children with the onset of acute pyelonephritis for a course of anti-relapse therapy of pyelonephritis. A portion of urine is collected in a volume of 5 ml after the toilet of the genitals, before the start of antibiotic therapy, with the determination of the levels of transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-1) and creatinine (Cr) in this portion of urine. If the ratio of TGF-β1 and Cr levels in urine (uTGF-β1/Cr) is more than 5.55 pg/mg, a high risk of developing a recurrent course of pyelonephritis is predicted. a course of therapy with a uroseptic drug.EFFECT: method provides the ability to obtain reliable information about the high probability of recurrent acute pyelonephritis in children and timely treatment with uroseptics, which allows avoiding subsequent recurrence of pyelonephritis, due to a non-invasive method for assessing the ratio of TGF-β1 and Cr levels in the urine of patients.1 cl, 1 tbl, 2 ex
