titleOfInvention Method for predicting an unfavorable course of retinopathy in premature infants
abstract FIELD: ophthalmology. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be used to identify a group of children at high risk of developing retinopathy of prematurity with an unfavorable course of the disease. For this, in premature infants with a post-conceptual age of 32-35 weeks, the serotonin content is determined in the blood plasma. When its level is equal to or below 14.0 pg/ml, the development of retinopathy of prematurity is predicted. n EFFECT: invention makes it possible to predict the risk of developing retinopathy of premature infants with an unfavorable course of the disease in order to adjust the tactics of managing such patients and to reduce the number of examinations of premature infants with a lower risk of developing this disease. n 1 cl, 1 tbl, 4 ex
