titleOfInvention | Method for the diagnosis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in men of the european population during screening examinations |
abstract | FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to hepatology, and can be used for the diagnosis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in men of the European population during screening examinations. The patient is examined with the establishment of the waist circumference (WC), determination of the level of triglycerides (TG) and fasting glucose in the blood, determination of the patient's body mass index (BMI), equal to the ratio of body weight in kilograms to height in meters squared, determination of the level laboratory parameters in the patient's blood: the level of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) and the level of C-peptide in the blood. Then, using a mathematical formula, the diagnostic criteria are calculated: liver fat index (LFI) and insulin resistance index (HOMA1-IR). In this case, the fatty index of the liver LFI is set according to the formula LFI = e y / (1+e y ) x 100, where y = 0.953 x lnTG (mmol/l) + 0.139 x BMI (kg/m 2 ) + 0.718 x ln GGT (u/l) + 0.053 x OT (cm) - 15.745, and the insulin resistance index HOMA1-IR is set according to the formula HOMA1-IR=1.5+blood glucose (mmol/l) x C-peptide level (pmol /l)/2800. After that, the presence of the disease is diagnosed according to the formula, using the previously obtained diagnostic criteria LFI and HOMA1-IR р=1/1+е -(-8,51+0,068xFLI+1,724хНОМА 1-IR) , where p is the probability of having NAFLD. If p is equal to or more than 0.5, a patient belonging to the group of men of the European population is diagnosed with the presence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and if p is less than 0.5, the absence of this disease is diagnosed. n EFFECT: method provides an opportunity to efficiently and quickly diagnose men of the European population for the presence or absence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease during screening examinations by using only objective indicators. n 1 cl, 6 tbl, 4 ex |
