FIELD: food industry; medicine. n SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a nutritional composition for the prevention and treatment of a protein-energy nutrition disorder and to a method for its preparation. The nutritional composition for the prevention and treatment of a protein-energy nutrition disorder includes a protein component, a lipide component, a carbohydrate component, minerals, vitamins and water, wherein the protein component includes two different protein sources: the first protein source is collagen hydrolysate with the average molecular weight Mw from 1000 Da to 6000 Da; the second protein source is selected from milk proteins; wherein the nutritional composition has pH in the range of 5.5-9.0 at a certain ratio of components in the composition.
