titleOfInvention Method for creating a solid immersion medium for observing the internal structure of transparent objects with a high refractive index
abstract FIELD: electrical engineering. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to a method for creating a solid immersion medium for observing the internal structure of transparent objects with a high refractive index, and can be used for optical diagnostics and visualisation of the internal structure of objects by microscopy methods by introducing optical emission into such objects, as well as for laser modification or local optical excitation thereof. The technical result of the invention is achieved by filling the transparent object in a mould with an immersion powder including a solid substance with a refractive index n greater than 2.1, wherein n is the absolute refractive index, followed by transferring the immersion powder to a state of transparent solid ceramics by evacuation, pressing and sintering thereof; the mould with said immersion powder and the transparent object is cooled, the resulting solid immersion medium with the transparent object inside is extracted therefrom, followed by forming at least one optical window on the surface of the solid immersion medium by mechanical processing - grinding, polishing. n EFFECT: increase in the stability of the method for studying the internal structure of transparent objects with refractive indices greater than 2.1, including precious stones. n 4 cl, 2 dwg
