titleOfInvention | Hydrotreating catalyst containing polar additive, method for its manufacture and application |
abstract | FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the hydrotreating of hydrocarbons, preferably medium distillates, such as diesel fuel, and a method for the manufacture of a catalytic composition for hydrotreating. The method for the manufacture of a catalytic composition for hydrotreating includes: the injection of an impregnation solution containing metal of Group 9/10, metal of Group 6 and an organic acid selected from citric acid and gluconic acid into carrier material to obtain impregnated carrier material; drying of the specified impregnated carrier material at a temperature that exceeds the melting temperature of the specified organic acid by an amount of less than 50°C and is below the boiling temperature of the specified organic acid, to obtain dried impregnated carrier material; and the injection of a polar additive selected from a group including β-propiolactone, γ-butyrolactone, δ-valerolactone, propylene carbonate, N-methyl pyrrolidone and a combination of propylene carbonate and N-methyl pyrrolidone into the specified dried impregnated carrier material to obtain an additive-impregnated composition. The specified impregnation solution is an aqueous solution containing salt of the specified metal of Group 9/10, which is selected from a group consisting of cobalt and nickel, wherein the specified metal of Group 9/10 is present in the specified aqueous solution in an amount ranging from 0.5 to 20% by wt. of the specified aqueous solution, salt of the specified metal of Group 6, selected from a group consisting of molybdenum and tungsten, wherein the specified metal of Group 6 is present in the specified aqueous solution in an amount ranging from 5 to 50% by wt. of the specified aqueous solution, and the specified organic acid is present in the specified aqueous solution in an amount of up to 50% by wt. of the specified aqueous solution.EFFECT: providing increased desulfurization activity.6 cl, 2 dwg, 5 ex |
